Nicole Miranda
PT, DPT
Colorado-based physical therapy consultant and educator with 30 years of experience in clinical care, DPT education, and post-professional education. She specializes in primary care physical therapy with a focus on differential diagnosis of neurological and vestibular disorders, autonomic dysfunction, and immune system reactivity. Dr. Miranda emphasizes movement analysis as a critical element of comprehensive patient assessment, enabling targeted interventions for optimal functional outcomes. Nicole has been an invited speaker at Dysautonomia International events since 2018 and presents at APTA CO chapter meetings as well as national CSM and ELC conferences. She and her husband are empty nesters and she is often found at the pool.
Clayton Powers
PT, DPT
Utah-based physical therapist specializing in clinical care and education for patients with complex neuroimmune and autonomic conditions. Dr. Powers has spoken at state, national, and international conferences. He also leads multiple patient and provider education forums for an internationally renowned specialty medical clinic. Dr. Powers is involved in research, education, and clinical care and provides an innovative, practical approach to enhancing care for patients with misunderstood health challenges. Clayton collaborates on projects with Bateman Horne Center and has presented at APTA CSM and Dysautonomia International conferences. Clayton enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and working in the garden.
Emily Rich
PhD, OT
Arizona-based occupational therapist specializing in autonomic dysfunction and connective tissue disorders in clinical, educational, and research contexts. Dr. Rich’s research interests include rehabilitation interventions and, most specifically, designing and testing curricula for optimizing self-management of underserved populations. Dr. Rich is a member of the international consortium for the Ehlers-Danlos Society and is routinely invited to speak to both the Society’s and Dysautonomia International’s audiences. When she isn’t in the clinic or conducting research, Emily enjoys mentoring and teaching clinicians and interacting with patient and therapy communities on her popular Instagram account.
